VHBC enhances the well-being of our neighborhood by fostering a sense of community. We aim to improve the quality of life for residents by providing a forum to come together where we can address issues and concerns and work together for the betterment of View Heights. Our initiatives include:
Community Building
We aim to build a strong sense of community and neighborhood pride by creating a welcoming place where residents can connect, get to know one another, and build relationships.
Safety and Security
We work to improve neighborhood safety and security through our Neighborhood Watch program, and we implement measures to deter criminal activity by working together with our local elected representatives and law enforcement agencies.
Advocacy and Representation
We serve as a collective voice for the neighborhood, advocating for the needs and concerns of residents with local government, city officials, and other relevant organizations.
Social and Cultural Activities
We promote local businesses and organize social and cultural events, such as block parties, festivals, and educational workshops, to bring residents together and strengthen community bonds.
Problem Solving
We address issues affecting the neighborhood, such as infrastructure problems, traffic congestion, or access to essential services. We work collaboratively with the community and local agencies to find solutions to these challenges.
Information Sharing
We serve as a source of information for residents, disseminating important news, updates, and resources related to the community.
Beautification and Environmental Improvement
We work to enhance the physical appearance of the neighborhood by organizing clean-up events, planting trees and flowers, and addressing issues like litter and graffiti.
